First announced in September 2016, the NHS Digital Academy was established to accelerate the development of senior NHS digital leaders. The Academy will train 300 CIOs, CCIOs and other senior IT leaders over the next three years through a combination of online, residential and work-based learning.

Following a competitive procurement, a prestigious consortia consisting of Imperial, Edinburgh and Harvard Universities, the Academy will begin its first intake at the start of 2018.

Rachel Dunscombe, CIO at Salford has been appointed as CEO of the project, alongside Harpreet Sood, associate CCIO NHS England. During this webinar, they will provide an update on the NHS Digital Academy for members of the CCIO and CIO Networks.
