The latest Digital Health Unplugged is now live – this time taking a look at diversity in digital leadership with the Shuri Network.

A lot has happened in the last year for the Network – from setting up bursaries for members to join the Faculty of Clinical Informatics (FCI) to establishing a shadowing programme to help younger members learn from those already working in tech in the NHS.

The Shuri Network has grown to more than 5,000 members since their launch at Digital Health Summer Schools in 2019, and now we have an update on what’s new for the Network from:

  • Nicole Wong, Junior Technical Analyst, Cyber, NHS South, Central and West
  • Di Bullman, Workstream Lead, Digital Readiness Programme, Health Education England
  • Rafiah Patel, Chief Digital Ethics & Privacy Officer, Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust

The panel discuss the importance of diversity in leadership roles, the benefits that bring to an organisation and also how the Shuri Network has helped them in their own careers.

Tune in to hear more of what our panel had to say.
